Arizona Adventure

Last weekend, Anne and I went to visit our grandparents in Arizona. It was a fabulous trip! Anne and I planned (at sort of the last minute) to go together without our husbands, so we booked flights that arrived within 15 minutes of each other and met up at the Phoenix airport. Rio Verde was beautiful--hot without being too hot. We swam in the pool, took a walk (which was an adventure as we almost, but not quite, got lost), ate tons of fantastic food (thanks to chefs grandma and grandpa), and had lots of time to visit and hear family stories. There were also some pretty intense games of gin rummy---and Annie, who learned how to play that weekend, beat both grandma and grandpa.

Here is Grandma with her girls...look you can see the baby bump! Even though I tried on my pants before I left, there was still a pair, when I got there, that wouldn't fit!

As an added bonus, I was able to have lunch with Cindy and see her boys. I can't believe how much Landon and Parker have grown in 5 months! It was great to catch up in person and I can't wait for their visit next week.

I took lots of pictures on the trip, but at the airport realized that I didn't have any pictures of just Anne and me! So here is our lovely self portrait taken in the Phoenix airport before we split up to catch our flights. Anne and I had wonderful sister time on this trip.
