Trick or Treat
Lorelei had a festive first Halloween! The week before Halloween we went on a trip to the Clayton Valley Pumpkin Farm with Carrie, Sean, and Bailey. The pumpkin farm has lots of fun things to do and see including hay bale tunnels, goats, chickens, a train ride and lots of pumpkins! Bailey had a fantastic time and we like to think that Lorelei enjoyed herself, even though she slept during the entire visit, mostly in Steve's sling.
Here is our family in one of the many picture cut outs.
Carrie, Sean, Bailey, Lorelei and me on the train ride. (Yes, that is a Christmas tree in the background; the Pumpkin Farm transforms into the Christmas Tree Farm in November. Apparently some decorations stay up all year).
Mom and Lorelei on the train!
Our little pumpkin! (Check out the awesome hand knit pumpkin hat! Thanks, Cindy!)

My current favorite family photo
So although we bought pumpkins at the farm (small, medium, and large...our own little pumpkin family), we never actually got around to carving them (we do have a newborn!). On Halloween we dressed Lorelei in a festive outfit and went trick-or-treating at our neighbors houses. Then we piled into the car and drove out to Grandma Merry and Grandpa Ray's house for dinner. One of my students came by the house trick-or-treating and was so excited to see me and catch a glimpse of the baby. (He was also pretty excited about the regular size Kit Kats my mom handed out!)
