Catching Up!

So I have a lot to catch up on! We've been so busy (and my computer has been on the fritz). Here are some of Lorelei's adventures this past month.

This is her 4 month photo from January 20, 2010 (I know, I forgot the sign, you'll just have to trust me on this one)
The biggest change this past month has been returning to work. Although it is so hard to leave her everyday I know she is getting the best possible care. Three days a week she is at a little home care near my school. We are so lucky to have found our care provider--she is amazing and so loving. Lorelei made a great transition to care and loves to watch and interact with the other kids. Here is Lorelei at day care looking around, sitting up nice and tall in the infant seat.
Here she is with a couple of her day care buddies. The other kids love to sing to her, make her smile, and talk with her.

Over Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, Great-Grandpa George and Great-Uncle Ed came to visit. They stayed over a Wednesday (which is a "Grandma Day" when my mom watches Lorelei) and had a wonderful time getting to know the newest member of the family. Here is Great-Grandpa George with Lorelei.

And Great-Uncle Ed.
At home, Lorelei loves her bubbles bouncer. Bubbles float up making the starfish spin and the two striped fish kiss. The noises are pretty fun too. Lorelei quickly learned that if she kicked the dangling orange fish or green seahorse she could make more bubbles and music. This fabulous $10 garage sale find (thanks, Steve!) means that she can be entertained while we prep dinner or eat lunch.

On Fridays we have "Daddy Days" when Steve stays home with Lorelei. Sometimes Lorelei helps Daddy work on his snowboard. This spring she'll be learning how to fix bikes.

A lot of Lorelei's hats are a little big and if she turns her head while she's sleeping they slip down over her eyes. (Which is exactly what she woke up to find here).
But this cute, hand-knit hat fits!

Lorelei is getting so big! At her 4 month appointment on January 8th she was 24 inches tall and 12 lbs., 13 oz. Definately too big for the kitchen sink or her little infant tub--she's graduated to the big girl tub; look at all of that water! She loves being able to splash and kick her feet.

After her busy days, she is exhausted.
