Erin & Justin's Wedding

The last weekend in February was full of celebration! Not only was it Steve's 30th birthday, but also the wedding of our good friends, Erin and Justin. The wedding was held at the brand new Ritz Carlton at the Highlands of Northstar. Gorgeous! But first we had to get there... We had a winter adventure on the way to Tahoe. We left Davis at 6:30 PM and did not arrive in Tahoe City until 3 AM. First there was an accident on 80 and we were stuck in Colfax for several hours. Then the roads finally reopened and there was a painfully long stretch of very slow traffic due to the stormy conditions and chain control. Near the summit, at about 2 AM, 80 must have closed again because we suddenly came to a complete stop for about 1/2 an hour. Lorelei was a trooper through all of this and mostly slept. At the summit we decided to risk a much needed diaper change since all the cars were turned off. When we sat her back up she grabbed the wheel as if to say, "Let's go!"

Steve and Jeff spent Saturday (Steve's birthday) skiing while I laid low at the cabin with Lorelei, Yvonne, Jenny, and Esteban. That evening was the truly magical wedding! Absolutely stunning setting, fabulous friends, and lots of personal touches that made the event so special. Here we are with the stunning bride!

One of our favorite features of the reception was the photo booth and assortment of funny accessories. The pictures doubled as a both a wedding album keepsake for the bride and groom as well as a memento for the guests. Here is one of our photo shoots!

Hi Liz:)
We've never met but I am a friend of your sister. Her and I lived in the same apartment complex until she moved just recently. We would often go on walks and update each other on our lives and she showed me your blog and I have been following it and all the fun things you do with your husband and adorable little girl:)
Today, I saw that you recommend The Faith Club and I had to comment as I have read that it's one of my favorites! It's such a beautiful story and so inspiring!
I hope you have a happy day!
Nikki
