In May, Lorelei painted some special pictures to send to the grandmothers and her teachers for Mother's Day. She is so funny when she paints--she doesn't like to get dirty and while she loves getting the colors out she is always very concerned when she gets paint on herself, saying "Mess! Mess! Icky!" and pointing at the offending drop or smear. I spent a lot of time reassuring her that we would definitely be taking a bath after we had finished. :) When we initially sat down, on the kitchen floor, I briefly worried about a paint smeared toddler running amok through the house, but Lorelei was an angel and stayed seated the whole time we painted. We worked on our colors and made lots of "pretties". She even, oh so graciously, let me put paint all over her hand so we could do hand prints. She very much enjoys seeing her artwork displayed on the fridge, proudly pointing it out to all who will listen.

May was also very exciting because Steve gave his final talk and had his commencement/hooding ceremony. Thanks to some AMAZING friends who watched Lorelei, I was able to attend both functions. Steve was nominated by his class to be the student speaker at his graduation (a huge honor) and did a fabulous job--funny, thoughtful, and well delivered. I am so proud of my hubby and all he has worked for and accomplished.

| Bill and Nancy threw a stunning party to celebrate several grads in their lives. Here is Lorelei, so excited to be wearing her new dress (this girl loves clothes!) and happily chewing on Bunny. |
