Red, White, and Blue

The 4th of July was a family-filled weekend. On Sunday, we drove up to Davis to visit Papa Bob, Grandma Elly, Kathy, and Gen. Lorelei took her first dip in the backyard pool and she adored showing off her swimming skills. Papa Bob even came in (an apparently rare occurrence) for some Lorelei swim time. We finished off the afternoon with a BBQ before coming home.

On the 4th we headed into Clayton for the annual parade. This year's parade was lots of fun--Lorelei especially enjoyed all of the horses that were entered. Steve even took Lorelei on part of the kiddie parade. I can't wait to help her decorate her bike/trike/scooter in the future! Afterwards we hung out with my folks and had another delicious BBQ (we are so lucky!).

Multi-tasking: Petting the very nice, patient dog we were standing near and staying hydrated (it was HOT!)

Gorgeous blue eyes.
