A Day in the Life of Lorelei

A Day in the Life of Lorelei

3:00 AM--wake up, try to convince mom and dad to bring her into bed for snuggles. success!
6:00 AM--wake up for real! start jabbering away, stand on daddy's head in order to look out the window, play with daddy's watch and mommy's book (a desperate attempt for a few more minutes of sleep on the part of the parents)
6:15 AM--climb over a large lump (aka parent who wishes they were still asleep), hand bink to parent, toddle off to find toys
6:17 AM--find a  toy that plays music, press button repeatedly
6:30 AM--play peek a boo with the shower curtain (mommy was too tired to recall that lorelei can now open the doors and locking the door is probably needed)
6:35 AM--ask daddy for toast.
6:40 AM--first breakfast--cereal or toast and fruit
7:00 AM--get dressed. insist on holding doll/book/bag of hair bows while doing so, making the whole shirt process more challenging
7:15 AM--say "shoes! shoes!"
7:17 AM--wait patiently for mommy to get coffee/lunch/bag of papers
7:20 AM--wave bye-bye to daddy
7:55 AM--arrive at daycare after 20 minutes of non-stop singing/talking with mommy in the car (who is lucky if she can get a word in edgewise). Blow mommy a kiss goodbye while eagerly looking over Shelly's shoulder for friends.
8:00 AM--second breakfast
9:00 AM--circle time--music, stories, weather, colors, numbers
10:30 AM--outside time--swings, slides, cars, balls
11:30 AM--lunch
12:15 PM--Nap
3:00 PM--up from nap, time for snack, then play with her buddy Nicholas until mommy gets here. Nicholas is known for giving hugs that frequently knock Lorelei over.
4:30 PM--Mommy is here--SHOES!!!
5:00 PM--Home to daddy and the chickens and the shed and baby doll. Play outside and run around as much as possible. Feed chickens clover through the fence. Explore the shed. Go for a ride in the wagon to get the mail. Make roaring noises at the lions on the neighbor's gate. Take "baby" for a walk in the stroller.
5:45 PM--Eat dinner with Mommy in the kitchen
6:15 PM--try to gather up as many washclothes as possible to put in the bath (the record is 13).
6:40 PM--run around in her birthday suit until mommy or daddy get worried about the lack of diaper, get in pjs (toes, elbows, belly button...ziiiipppp! and snap!)
6:45 PM--brush teeth time. demand elmo (toothpaste).
6:50 PM--books--pick out books to read. Favorites include Moo, Baa, Lalala; The Pigeon Loves Things That GO!; Counting Kisses; Goodnight Gorilla; I Love You Through and Through; Gossie; Rainforest Animals
7:10 PM--Night, Night! Kisses. Hugs. Snuggles. Then off to bed with blankie, a bink, and piggy.

Oh boy this is exhausting just to read! Levi also DEMANDS his Elmo toothpaste and brush. I am afraid to put a list like this together myself!
